Here is the development roadmap for the ANet project:
The goal of version 1.0 is to have a set of features big enough to allow end-users to use the system.
It won't have fancy features. It includes the Chat, File Browsing and Download services, plus some "nice" features.
Tasks: 23, 30, 34, 36, 42, 58.
Deadline: December 15, 2002.
This version is made to help developers outside the project in adding features and modules in the deamon.
This version will also mark the beginning of cross-platform development.
Tasks: 3, 7, 14, 20.
Deadline: July 1st, 2003.
Many new features are added in this version. Some features might still be specific to Linux.
Includes advanced bandwidth management and encryption.
Tasks: 4, 6, 18, 19, 26, 27, 35, 37, 40, 42, 44, 47, 52, 54, 55, 56, 64
Deadline: January 1st, 2004.
Starting with this version, all the features from version 2.0 will be available on all the supported platforms.
No new features are added.
Tasks: none
Deadline: July 1st, 2004.
The rest of the features is added.
Note that some of the tasks might be very difficult.
Tasks: 8, 15, 21, 24, 38, 41, 56, 62, 65.
Deadline: January 1st, 2005.
